Remember these words!
An Element is a substance that cannot be broken down chemically
A Mixture is a combination of two or more pure substances where each keep its own properties - a new substance is not formed
Pasteurization is the process of heating a mixture to kill the bacteria in it
Homogenization is the process of breaking up fat into tiny pieces that can remain suspended
Foam is a liquid with air bubbles trapped in it
Water is nearly a universal Solvent, which means that water break down nearly everything it touches
A compound is a substance made when two or more elements combine chemically
